Has Becoming a Professional Writer Stifled My Creativity?

It’s a cliché but ever since I can remember, I’ve loved to write. As a child I was a self-confessed bookworm, preferring to spend my school holidays completing book lists in the public library over watching TV or ‘playing out’, as we called it in the corner of North West England I grew up in. Family trips away were accompanied by a fresh stack of books, often devoured before we’d reached our destination of choice, and my idea of staying up late was finishing a chapter under the bed covers.
